Smile Minor bug of ZA Pro 9.0.136, causing disk and CPU consuming

After the installation of latest 9.0.136, the free space of system partition keeps dropping quickly and the vsmon.exe consumes more CPU time. After a little research, it turned out to be a misconfiguration of the default settings by Zonealarm 9.0.136. Zonealamr Pro 9.0.136 turns on the debug functionality by default and then a very big file of tvDebug.log, located at C:\WINDOWS\Internet Logs, will be generated and keep growing.

So if anyone encounters this problem, please ctrl+shift+right click on the ZA icon in the bottom right systray area. Then choose 'set debug level' -> 'off'->'OK', and then either restart Zonealarm or restart your computer. Then go to C:\WINDOWS\Internet Logs and delete that big log file.

I sincerely hope the debug level could be set to off by default in the future releases.

Well, I can confirm that my tvDebug.log Sunday afternoon was 3.6GB, and I had been receiving low space warnings on my system drive. I deleted the file in Safe Mode. By Monday evening, it had grown from 0 to 1.1GB. I would definitely call that a problem. The debug level is shown as "Default". I am running 9.0.136.

While typing this message, the system automatically zipped tvDebug.log, so it now takes 7.5MB instead of 1.1GB. I don't know what triggered the compression. I did look at the debug setting using the method mentioned above, though I did not set it to Off. I also forced a manual update of ZoneAlarm Pro, though it said that it was already up to date and the version number did not change. I did not restart ZAP. vsmon CPU usage appears to vary between 0 - 2% while the system is basically at idle.
