  • [SOLVED] zatray.exe - No Disk (pop-up)

I have installed the Zonealarm Firewall - Free Edition on my Win10 Desktop and all is working well..... with one exception.

When I start my computer, I get a pop-up that says:
    "zatray.exe - No Disk
There is no disk in the E drive. Please insert a disk in E drive"

If I choose to simply 'Continue', the pop-up disappears.

If I insert a CD disk or a flash drive and try again... the popup remains.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this pop-up?

    Re: zatray.exe - No Disk (pop-up)

    Hello;

1.) This error is also related to when you installed or upgraded ZoneAlarm.

If you have any mapped, external, or USB devices attached that have a drive letter that could be the issue. Remove all mapping and all external devices from the PC then uninstall ZA and reinstall.

If your installing ZA on a drive that does not have sufficient disk space left after ZA has installed that could create this error also.

2.) Probably something has happen with the allocation of drive names. Something has changed recently?

Please also note that ZA should be installed in the main drive C://

I would fully remove ZA and reinstall it from scratch.

      Re: zatray.exe - No Disk (pop-up)

Hi GeorgeV.... thanks for your reply.

I did as you suggested and completely uninstalled Zonealarm.

Then I disconnected the only external device using a USB connection... that being an external HD (was in drive- I however).

Both my printer and scanner also use USB ports so I disconnected them as well.

Then I downloaded (from the website) and installed ZoneAlarm again.
I only have the C drive.

The pop up is still there. It only shows on Startup or if I re-start the computer. It is an annoyance more than anything.
