  • Is ZA free leaking ipv6?

    I have just installed ZA free firewall and also tested it with Antivirus on windows 10 home .

    they are the latest versions

    zaSetupWeb_151_501_17249 FIREWALL AND AV

    and

    zafwSetupWeb_151_504_17269 JUST FIREWALL

    It pops up an alert box for ipv4 outbound connections, but a program using an ipv6 outbound connection just connects without any alert.

    Anyone else finding ipv6 programs being missed by ZA free?

    Is this normal or is their a fix?

    tx

      Thanks for your reply.

      Does that not mean that if a trojan gets in, it can make an ipv6 connection outbound without being stopped by an alert?

        Thank you for your inquiry;

        Sorry, cannot test it right now but you can easily install ZAPro Trial and use the 30 days trial. Remove the ZA Free version before installing the ZA Pro.

        Also you can do a GOOGLE Search for Free Firewalls, there are plenty of Free firewalls out there, if Zone Alarm Free does not fit your needs then just try another one of the Many Free Firewall Products.

        thanks,
